OU Choirs

The University of Oklahoma provides a nurturing environment for all styles of choral music, guided by its dedicated faculty.  For more information about our program or our fine variety of vocal ensembles, please contact us at SING@ou.edu.

OU offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in choral conducting,  choral conducting with church music emphasis, and music education. Students in the OU choral program enjoy a comprehensive educational curriculum that prepares them, through mastery of teaching, score study, musicianship and research, for a rewarding career in music. Students benefit from the extensive on campus performing conducting experiences, international study and the research of OU’s nationally-recognized music faculty. These award-winning faculty/musicians help students to develop into reflective teachers by linking applied research with practice through a variety of hands-on experiences. Upon completion of the program, OU choral students are in high demand for employment and have historically been recognized as successful, award-winning teachers.
